Barcelona director Deco praises Xavi’s potential successor

Former Barcelona midfielder and current club director Deco has praised Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and suggested that he has the qualities to succeed Xavi as the new manager of the Blaugrana.
While several names have been linked to the job, including Hansi Flick and Thomas Tuchel, Enrique’s previous success with Barcelona from 2014 to 2017 has made him a contender for the role.
Enrique will lead PSG against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals in a bid to achieve European glory for the French club.

Deco spoke highly of Enrique’s managerial skills, describing him as a “top person and a top coach” who can effectively manage important groups.
The Portuguese said (via transfer expert Fabrizio Romano): “I really like Luis Enrique. He is a reference, a top person and a top coach. He is able to manage important groups, he’s a really top coach.”
